Install the desktop client so your files stay in sync on this computer. Pick your platform.
The app's own version is on each card below.
On first launch you’ll sign in and choose a folder to sync. From then on the app keeps that folder in sync automatically and updates itself — only from signed builds. Need an account? Ask your FolderNetwork administrator.
Apple and Microsoft code-signing certificates are still an ops step. Until those land, some operating systems show a one-time safety prompt:
macOS: right-click (or Control-click) the app and choose Open, then Open again. You only do this once.
Windows: on a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen, click More info → Run anyway. You only do this once.
Linux: extract the tarball and run
./FolderNetwork/FolderNetwork. Keep that folder together
(the binary needs _internal). If the file is not executable:
chmod +x FolderNetwork/FolderNetwork.
Auto-update still refuses a build that is not signed by FolderNetwork’s update key, even if the OS prompt is bypassed.
